Donating real estate to Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Pittsburgh is a great way to support our mission in providing help and creating hope for individuals and families living within the six counties of the Diocese of Pittsburgh. We are called to recognize Christ in others, serve them as Christ would serve, and in so doing, we bring glory and honor to Him.
About Real Estate Donations
Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Pittsburgh partners with CARS (Charitable Adult Rides & Services) to process real estate donations to benefit Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Pittsburgh. Our program takes any property type (land, homes, commercial) in any location so long as there is equity. Even if you owe back taxes, have a mortgage balance, or deferred maintenance, it's no problem. We will pay off all loans, liens, commissions owed and pay all closing costs. If you have a real estate asset that is costing you money or not being utilized, donating it is a great way to give back and you may even claim a significant tax deduction!

Verify the valuation, liens, condition, and closing costs.
Donation purchase contract
Step 3
SALE
Liquidate the asset for maximum value.
Process transaction

CLOSING
IRS forms sent, appraisal, and proceeds to nonprofit.
